Golf was originally played at the current site of Old Padeswood Golf Club over 100 years ago.
The current club was established in 1977 and increased to 18 holes in 1985. The course benefits from being in a tranquil area of over 110 acres with an abundance of wildlife; many varieties of birds of prey can be seen flying over the rolling and open parkland course.
The location of our friendly members run golf club makes it easy to find, we are close to the Welsh town of Mold, 7 Miles from Wrexham and 10 miles west of the historical city of Chester. The A55 runs close by, so we are within an hour’s drive of Manchester, Liverpool and the North West. Situated on the Cheshire and North Wales border in the county of Flintshire, we have magnificent views of the Clwydian Mountain Range including Moel Famau with its jubilee tower perched on top.
We pride ourselves in being a friendly Golf club and welcoming visitors as well a providing a great day for all sizes of groups and societies. You can be sure that you will have an enjoyable round of golf with warm Welsh hospitality. The clubhouse bar provides a wide variety of alcoholic and soft drinks as well as hot drinks including varieties of coffee using fresh coffee beans. Our catering covers ‘lite bites’ to a full three course meal. All the food is produced by our in house chef who uses fresh ingredients sourced locally.
The Clubhouse also has a large function room that caters for large group and society presentations, as well as Company meeting’s, Lunches, Wedding reception’s, Birthday’s and other evening/daytime functions.
